About Capital University

Capital University is a private liberal arts university of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America located in Bexley, which is a suburb of Columbus, the capital and the largest city of the US state of Ohio, housing within its limits a number of inhabitants that exceeds 711 000 (2000), also being the county seat of Franklin County and the fourth largest city in the American Midwest.

Capital was established in 1830 and it is one of the oldest and largest Lutheran-affiliated universities in North America. It offers its students a diverse range of degree programs, including undergraduate, graduate and dual degrees, among the most respected programs, for which the university is known, also being its music program.

Athletics

Capital's athletic teams are known as the Crusaders and they compete within the Ohio Athletic Conference in the NCAA's Division III, in various men's and women's sports.
